Stunning Come & Sing Stabat Mater hosted by Excelsis Chamber Choir

Excelsis Chamber Choir and their Come and Sing guests performed Sir Karl Jenkins Stabat Mater on 7th September at St Alban’s Church Hindhead. After an afternoon workshop led by Music Director Robert Lewis, accompanied by acclaimed local composer and performer Clive Osgood, the singers gave a moving performance of this much-loved work. Highlights of the performance were the ‘Ave Verum’ and the ‘Lament’ featuring Excelsis singer and soloist Charlotte Tetley with Robert Lewis on the flute.

During the tea break half way through the workshop singers were tempted by a tableful of delicious cakes and bakes provided by members of the choir.
