A charity providing PSA testing for men to check for early signs of prostate cancer.
About
Cancer Testing South was established in 2018 by Roy Sowersby and John Goodridge following their experience with prostate cancer. They were joined by Roger Macdivitt in 2019 following the loss of his wife to a gynaecological cancer. All three trustees have vowed to pursue the uncovering of deadly prostate disease in men over 40 by increasing awareness and together with a team of qualified & experienced nurses and phlebotomists provide simple blood tests. A not for profit organisation with full charity status, Cancer Testing South have a team of qualified, experienced phlebotomists and nurses to undertake testing and are actively seeking more. All are invited to be members of the association.
Help Needed
Cancer Testing South welcome volunteers. Training can be given for volunteers to become qualified phlebotomists. Assistance is also needed during Blood Testing events, to help raise awareness of the importance of testing and with other tasks.
